As your holiday approaches, booking additional services is essential to ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay. We are here to help. Restaurant reservations are mandatory, so please book your tables now or let us know if you’d like assistance. Waiting until your arrival will be too late. We also highly recommend securing car rental & ski lessons now. These sell out quickly too. Please see services below.
SKI LESSONS
Hakuba Ski Concierge is our recommended provider for private lessons. They offer an unparalleled, premium service. Their instructors are hand picked and have many years experience in Hakuba. Feedback is universally positive. Their most popular option is their Signature Lessons Experience, which includes complimentary pick up & drop off with additional stops elsewhere included, assistance with local services, rainy day alternatives, lunch + onsens options, same instructor commitments. You are in great hands with Nadine + team.
Hakuba Snow Sports is our recommended provider for group lessons or mixed group + private ski or snowboard lessons. Based at Iimori Resort adjacent to Goryu Resort, Hakuba Snowsports is a great place to start with group or private lessons. The slope is gentle and perfect for even young children. We always receive positive feedback from guests. We ourselves learned to ski there and our kids continues to join their weekend program. Feedback is always positive and we are happy to recommend them.
BACKCOUNTRY: Northern Heights Guiding please contact them.
SKI HIRE – we highly recommend both of these companies.
Central Snow Sports – Their closest shop is conveniently located on the main street of Echoland. They bring new equipment every year and have a great range from beginner all the way to expert. They offer free guest shuttles, free gear exchange, and great service. They can also pick you up from Hakuba Bus Terminal or Train Station on arrival. They’ll collect you and your luggage and take you directly to your accommodation. At the end of your stay, they’ll pick up the gear from your accommodation.
Rhythm Japan – They offer pick-up and drop off service to either their Wadano or Happo Store. We prefer the Wadano store with their Rhythm & Bean Coffee and great selection of retail. The store is spacious and just feels nice to walk through. They’ve done a great job in the past few years making it a fun and attractive place to visit. The service is top notch as well. Great technicians, long time staff, free gear swaps, and coffee are just some of the reasons we continue to recommend Rhythm.
LIFT PASSES
Tengu Travel –
You can purchase the Hakuba Valley All Mountain Lift Pass and we will deliver these to you. For convenience, these can’t be beat. For those that are exploring, it’s very easy to do two resorts in a single day. These passes also come in very handy on windy days when resorts close. This happens fairly often. When it does, it pays to have this pass. Drive 5 min and you are at a different resort. These passes also let you ride the Hakuba Valley Resort shuttles for free.
Individual mountain passes can be purchased from here and exchanged at the resort. It is cheaper to purchase day passes (or multi-day passes from the ski resorts if you know you will be taking lessons at the same mountain everyday.
